Like crushed train cars telescoping into one another, these seven tracks fuse song and soundtrack-style music, contemporary newspaper accounts and musique concrète, into a gumbo of "you are there" tone poems about real-life train crashes of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

With a definite split in personality over the nine tracks that compose the album – something to be expected perhaps when we’re talking about an album that dances from big band jazz to Turkish folk melodies to something that’s almost reggae – 'Resolution' is definitely one of the more interesting listens I’ve happened upon in months.

Falling in love is euphoria and terror. There is no other way to achieve its beauty and hope.

The journey seemed to wind across oceans, through jungles – and into caves, perhaps akin to the cistern recordings that gave birth to the composer's concept of "deep listening" back in the 1980s.
