The misery factor is contagious, leading the listener down into the abyss of calamitous unhappiness.

'State of Health' is a tasty album. The melodies are strong, dipped in delicious retro harmonics.

'Philosophies' is a strong album, full of infectious grooves and captivating vocal harmonies.

The shifting tones and altering beats make this EP intriguing. So it’s worth checking out to see if it appeals to your inner tempo.

'Little Boat' is a good album. Mathur’s voice is at its best when darkly inflected with down and dirty tones.

'Green' delivers eloquent lyrics, along with generous doses of subliminal sonic flashes, making it one of the better folk-pop albums I’ve heard in quite some time.

Crushed Out's sound is eccentrically retro yet gorgeously contagious, blending the heady sounds of the '50s and '60s with modern sonic aromas.

'Revisited' is betwixt and between, a mish-mash of good tunes with mediocre tunes. The melodies would be better served with reduced flamboyance and grandiosity, especially the vocal harmonies, which too often reach levels of overcompensation.

'First World Problems' is mediocre at best, coming across like an amateur garage band trying to sound cool. I’m sure Sam Levin has oodles of talent. He just needs to find the musical vehicle to express it.

'Robots, Rockets & Rampage' is taut, powerful metal, full of tone of sepulchral gravity and superior harmonic concatenations. It exudes raw, palpable, prodigious energy and monumental rhythmic punch. War Gods of the Deep knows how to turn up the heat.
