Lance Cowan's latest cements his reputation as a writer of memorable, understated songs that exude warmth and humanity.

If you’re not familiar with the music of the late 1950s and early 1960s, you’ll probably have a hard time guessing which of these tunes rocketed up the charts and which never dented the Hot 100.

Most notable are previously unreleased live jams from the 'Some Time in New York City' sessions. They feature Elephant’s Memory, augmented by a star-studded guest list that includes George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Frank Zappa, Keith Moon, Nicky Hopkins, and Klaus Voormann.

Robert Earl Keen finds a sweet spot between Jesse Winchester and Jimmy Buffett and delivers some of the best material in his large and terrific catalog.

The latest live album from NRBQ favors their rock/pop side and comes with a concert DVD. Plus CDs from Steve Van Zandt, Donovan and Che Apalache.

NRBQ are every bit as adventurous as they were as a young bunch of guys playing around at the Adams home some 51 years ago, even though Terry Adams stands alone as the only band member spanning the timeline from then to now. How he’s been able to hang on to the energy and charming irreverence that permeates this box of collected performances (both studio and live in concert) is a testament to his continued enthusiasm and love of music.

Terry Adams ushers in a new era of NRBQ with a new CD.
