Is Jon Snow really dead? We'll have to wait until Game of Thrones season six debuts April 24! In the meantime, a brand new trailer!

‘Game of Thrones’ Second Official Trailer Released by HBO

Who’s ready for the new season of HBO’s Game of Thrones? The 10-episode sixth season will debut on the network Sunday, April 24 at 9:00 p.m. ET. Much is in doubt about the fate of the Lannisters, the Starks, Daenerys, and most especially the noble and brave Jon Snow, who appeared by all accounts to be dead at the end of season five. (And according to all reports from cast interviews, he is truly, most certainly, certifiably…dead.john snow

Announced among the returning cast are: Peter Dinklage (the incomparable Tyrion Lannister, who I believe will truly be the saga’s ultimate hero), Lena Headey (the now-shamed Cersei), Emilia Clarke (the mother of Dragons, and self-proclaimed heiress to the Iron Throne, Daenerys Targeryen) Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (the handless Jaime Lannister, who has grown immensely on me over the first five seasons), Alfie Allen (the cowardly, sniveling–and yes, tortured–Theon Greyjoy), Diana Rigg and Natalie Dormer (the scheming grandmama Tyrell and her conniving granddaughter Margaery) , Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams (Sansa and Arya Stark), and brave, kind John Bradley (Samwell Tarly, Jon’s loyal friend among the guardians of the Wall).

To tide you over until the 24th, HBO has been kind to provide a new trailer. And be sure to catch up on the fifth season of Game of Thrones on HBO Now and HBO To Go. If you’ve not been watching the spectacular visual unfolding of George R. R. Martin’s multi-novel fantasy saga, what are you waiting for? You have two weeks!
