‘VEEP’ Returns Sunday Night on HBO

HBO’s Emmy Award-winning comedy series VEEP is back for its third season April 6. Starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, VEEP is a smart political comedy centering around Vice President Selina Meyer (Louis-Dreyfus). Trying to do a job that is far from what she expected when she answers the call to serve in this “exalted” office. How she and her staff keep up with the demands of the office, leave their mark on policy–and avoid the pitfalls and political game playing defines 21st Century Washington, D.C.

Created by the British comedy writer/producer Armando Iannucci (Thick of It, In the Loop), the series imbued with journalist Frank Rich‘s on-target take on the D.C. scene, and its penchant for game playing over real policy. VEEP‘s season three premiere is the comedic crown of HBO’s stellar Sunday night spring lineup, which also includes Game of Thrones and the brand new Silicon Valley. All three shows debut this Sunday, April 6. Veep airs at 10:30 p.m. ET.
