NRBQ are every bit as adventurous as they were as a young bunch of guys playing around at the Adams home some 51 years ago, even though Terry Adams stands alone as the only band member spanning the timeline from then to now. How he’s been able to hang on to the energy and charming irreverence that permeates this box of collected performances (both studio and live in concert) is a testament to his continued enthusiasm and love of music.

A joyful, optimistic, brilliantly composed vision, Haydn's great oratorio jibed perfectly with Enlightenment philosophy, and went on to offer a couple of hours of comfort and relief as war darkened the start of the 19th century. Today, it continues to bring joy.

The Super Tour is aptly named. The Pet Shop Boys deliver on their classics, new tracks, and an impressive light show.

With polished young performers on many different instruments at her disposal, Podger presented a wide range of music that featured flutes, oboes, and bassoon as well as strings.

The Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival brought joy, country music, fun and surprises to the Las Vegas Strip, September 30 to October 2. The three-day event provided excitement each day, taking place at the MGM Resorts Festival Grounds, giving it the feel and experience of a traditional music festival like Stagecoach but enabling you to sleep in a Vegas hotel instead of your camper.

It was nice to see a warmer side to the cellist's chill, hyper-modern aesthetic as she introduced songs and asked the audience for vocal and smartphone participation. At the end she sent us out to wander the crowded desert of Greenwich Village, inspired by her musicianship but even more so by her distinctive dark aesthetic.

The three musicians did right by Brahms as they played some of the composer's most beautiful and dynamic music for violin, cello, and piano in Brooklyn's floating waterfront concert hall.

Vocalist Martin McQuade and pianist/background vocalist Pete Sokolow present a jazz-inspired repertoire live at Gulf Coast restaurant in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

Relatively new in the music scene, the Summerfest Concert Series on the Plaza is not to be missed.

Babymetal's fan base is understandably devout and they are growing with each show and each album. Don't be surprised if by next year they are headlining their own nights at music festivals worldwide. If you have the chance to see them, do not pass it up.
